There will be a Moon quiz on Monday, December 2nd. Below are the topics that will be covered. Students are asked to use their green science folders to study.
o How many moon phases are there?
o What do these words mean? waxing, waning, gibbous, crescent, full moon, new moon
o The difference between rotation and revolution.
o What causes the seasons and night and day?
o How many high and low tides per day? Where is the Bay of Fundy located?
o Why would people need to know when the tides are?
o Name a few nocturnal and diurnal animals.
o What adaptations allow animals to be nocturnal? (large eyes, echolocation, sensitive whiskers, good hearing)
